Amazon Returns

Amazon QR Codes can be frustrating. Here's what you need to know.


Amazon has implemented a new option for returns that works great for those who live close to a corporate UPS Store®. For the rest of us, this option just causes extra headaches.

If you select the QR code option you must present the QR code at a UPS Store® counter. The closest UPS Store® to Postal Solutions is off Churchville Road.



We recommend using the print label option located under the “2 other options” link.

If you do not have a printer, you can “forward return label to a friend to print.” Email the label to ship@postalsolutions.net, and our staff will print the label when you arrive to drop off your package. We also have polypropylene bags available for purchase. As always, we do have professional packing services here for any item you may need to ship.

What if I have already submitted a return using the QR Code?

Log into your Amazon account view return status, then cancel the return. Go back and request the return with a UPS label (see detailed instructions below). Either print or email us the label. Tape the label to your box or bring it in and we will put the label in a carrier sleeve that adheres to the box.

How to Replace the AMAZON QR CODE with a Printable Label

  1. Log into Amazon account.
  2. Click on Menu Button and choose “Orders” (top of screen).
  3. Click on the item being returned.
  4. Click on “View Return/Refund Status” (last of 3 choices).
  5. Cancel your return.
  6. Click the BACK Button or go back into your Orders and choose the product you want to return and Submit for a Return on that same product.
  7. Choose your Refund Method and Click Continue.
  8. You will see the radio button lit up beside “No Printer? No Problem, Print @ the UPS Store.” Two other choices are hidden – You have to Click on “2 Other Return Options”.
  9. Choose "UPS DROP-OFF" option and click on “Confirm Your Return”.
  10. Click on "EMAIL COPY OF LABEL" and choose "SEND TO A FRIEND".
  11. Enter email address – you can send directly to us at:
    ship@postalsolutions.net
  12. Click Send Email and we will print your label for you!

If that doesn’t work for you, call Amazon at 1-888-280-4331 and ask them to send your return label to your email address or email to us at ship@postalsolutions.net and at the same time register your complaint about the hidden buttons. If they get enough phone calls, they will change back to showing all the options.
